    Driving in Australia

The ‘Road and Transit Authority’ (RTA) is the DMZ equivalent for Australia.  The NSW’s RTA website can be found here:

Wanna Work in Aus or New Zealand?

I’ve had a few people ask how I got to Sydney.  Well, I was lucky enough to inter-company transfer here (we have an office in Sydney) but I was thinking about going to Australia on my own w/o tying myself to a company sponsor.  Here’s how:

    http://www.bunac.org

While we were traveling in the UK, we met a girl from South Carolina working in Harod’s.  She told us if you’re young (25 for some programs, 30 for NZ I think and still in school for others), you can get a special work VISA to work in certain countries.  Check out the site and tell them where you live.  It’ll tell you where you can work, for how long (4mths in Aus, 1yr in NZ) and what the requirements are.

If any of you have any additional questions about doing international work, throw up a post and I’ll try to help you track down an answer.
