  You Too Can Start Playing with Windows Workflow Foundation 

  One common question I get is “Is Windows Workflow publically availabe?” and “How can I play with Windows Workflow?”

  First off, YES… Windows Workflow (“WF” for short) is publically available right now.  As of the writing of this entry, WF is in Beta 2.

  Second… the high level installation process for running and designing Workkflow:

  STEPS for Rocking and Rolling (executing and designing) with Windows Workflow Foundation Beta 2

  1. Setup a machine with Visual Studo 2005 (an earlier version won’t work nor will beta/pre-release versions)
  2. Install the WinFX Runtime (currently Jan CTP)

  3. Install the VS2005 Extensions for WinFX (optional but good to have if you want to explore other WinFX features)
